Lead Engineer

Linz (headquarter), Munich or Berlin - Full Time, Part Time

Your role

You will be joining a diverse, international team of engineers with mechatronics, controls, software engineering, computer science, and data engineering backgrounds. We are looking for a lead engineer who works closely with key stakeholders to understand the business goals and helps plan the technical roadmap.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Close collaboration with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and help translate these into requirements for developers
  • Develop technical specifications for new features
  • Manage technical infrastructure
  • Design and architect solutions and write high-quality, scalable code
  • Lead the team in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications
  • Run code reviews with the team
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance for team members

We are looking for someone who fits the following profile:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
  • Experience in leading a team of software engineers
  • Experience with agile project management ideas
  • Solid programming experience in embedded software development
  • Experience in real-time/safety-critical system development
  • Automotive project experience, aeronautics experience is a plus
  • Vehicle dynamics and motion planning experience is a plus
  • ISO 26262 knowledge is a plus
  • Motivated to contribute
  • Able to acquire new skills and learn new technologies
  • Prototyping and series development capabilities
  • Interest in capturing requirements for autonomous systems
  • Passionate about autonomous vehicle technologies
